HIGHLIGHTS OF THE 2007 FESTIVAL
MARITIME MUSIC, JAZZ, FOLK, COUNTRY & BLUES
52 music performances over 3 days …
The SA Wooden Boat & Music Festival will feature a fantastic array of themed concerts focusing on Maritime Music, Jazz, Folk, Country and Blues. We aim to create a very family inclusive event with lots of activities for young people including Arts & Crafts, Competitions, Magicians, Punch & Judy and Music Performances.
There will be three stages operating with 18 concerts involving over 52 performances (including several national performers).
Some of the major performers that appeared at the
2007 Wooden Boat & Music Festival:
THE BORDERERS — a well known & loved S.A group who play full on ‘Celtic Folk’, headlining the Saturday and Sunday night concerts. Multi-award winning Scottish / Irish / Australian band, the Borderers will ignite the crowd with their big sound and bigger performance. The uplifting music from the Borderers live shows have won them many fans around the world.
BLUEGRASS JUNCTION — one of Australia’s top bluegrass outfits. Featuring internationally renown Trev Warner. Don’t miss this bluegrass sensation.
There will also be a range of excellent jazz perfomances especially on the opening day when we will feature Little Black Dress.
A smooth and highly skilled group, LITTLE BLACK DRESS have performed all over the state recently stealing the show at the Barossa Music Festival with their excellent vocal skills and dynamic stage performance.
The special youth program will include a magician, Punch & Judy, an ensemble of young Scottish fiddlers and several school music groups. There will also be lots of activities for young people including Art & Craft competitions, a Sea Scout display,
face painting & helium balloon giveaways. And much more…
