The State Government is proud to support the South Australian Wooden Boat Festival.

This event has grown into one of our nation`s most exciting and spectacular celebrations of wooden boats, and reinforces South Australia`s reputation for hosting brilliant events and festivals.

With wooden boats of all shapes and sizes, music performances, arts and maritime craft workshops and boat building displays, there is ample opportunity for visitors and locals alike to get involved.

Goolwa has a rich river port history, and is the only place in the Southern Hemisphere where you can arrive by steam train and then board a steam boat. I trust you will enjoy this proudly local festival, celebrating the important history of Goolwa, wooden boats, and the Murray River.
